Within the War College there are a few levels of leadership. There is the overall leadership of The War College ministry. Then each campus - Vancouver and Chicago - have their own set of Permanent, Adjunct and Visiting Faculty. There are also many supporting members of the War College Ministry including the Board of References, Divisional and Territorial leaders.
Campus Directors
Josh and Jen Polanco were grafted into the fullness of the Salvation Army in 2002 after pioneering a work among at risk youth in the city of Blue Island, IL. Since then, they have served as Divisional Directors for Outreach, Discipleship and Programs and currently as Corps administrators and full time youth workers for the Chicago Mt. Greenwood Corps in Chicago's Southside. Their passion has been to bring about change in the city of Blue Island and the surrounding communities, one youth, one family - and one neighborhood at a time.

Jonathan Evans is a multiplying pioneer of cells and outposts who, with his wife Carla and a team of zealots, helps lead 614 Vancouver and The War College. A gifted teacher and shepherd, Jonathan teaches, disciples and leads - while also coordinating the War College Phase 2 program and ASALTS accredidation process.

Captains Strickland and Court invest in several initiatives to help win the world for Jesus, including MMCCXX, a plot to see new outposts in 2,000 cities in 200 countries in 20 years, BE A HERO Campaign to raise up 10,000 heroes for children-at-risk, armybarmy.com, Journal of Aggressive Christianity, and books and CDs - all while seeking authentic Christian community and trying to incite a Jesus Revolution. They are founders of The War College.
College Faculty


Naomi and Nathan Holt have joined the War College ranks from Wellington, New Zealand, where they worked with the Salvation Army in various roles for the past five years.

Both have strong passions for the Army and its soul saving mission.
Captains Cassandra & Thom Moffitt have a zeal for incarnate - Primitive - soul-saving - revolutionary - in the gutter ministry where being a reflection of God's heart is their call for action. Thom is a visionary and impassioned teacher, heralding a war cry to soldiers everywhere seeking to strengthen them for spiritual battle. Cassandra believes in the power of Christ to change lives, and through faith brings His healing to the low in spirit. Together they lead The Salvation Army in Joliet, Illinois.

The Board of Reference features established leaders from around the world. These people offer input into the composition and operation of The War College. The Board consists of General Shaw Clifton, General Eva Burrows (R), General John Gowans (R), Commissioner Wesley Harris, Commissioner Phil Needham, Commissioner Joe Noland, Colonel Earl Robinson, Lieut-Colonel Don Copple, Wesley and Stacey Campbell.


The War College Chicago also has great support from The Salvation Army Metropolitan Divisional Leadership and Central Territory Leadership.
